The Reasons Why. . .

So why am I starting this blog? I couldn't say really.

Without getting too deep into it, I don't plan on this being a place for me to parade my supposed deepest fears. Mostly I'm interested in the larger community of Angelino-centric bloggers, and am mildly curious to see if I can do my newly adopted neighborhood some justice.

It's one of the things that most fascinates me about Los Angeles - it's sheer scale. I'll never get bored here. I'll never find the edge. I'll never stop discovering new things and new people and new places - it's just too big. I often remark to people that after living in San Diego for 4 years, I had already been to all the good restaurants. It's a snarky remark that isn't fair to SD, but there is some truth.

I've lived in LA for most of my life, and I can tell you that I've barely covered 30% of it. Until I found my home off of La Brea near Washington, I never even knew this neighborhood existed, much less understood anything about it.

So it's a learning process for me, and hopefully, you'll come with me.
